Natural treasure- A rainbow

This afternoon we were lucky enough to see some sun!! So we decided to go outside and try making some rainbows. We had done a bit of research on how to make them. These are things we tried.

I used a spray bottle and water and the sun to make a rainbow.

We got a spray bottle and sprayed on the concrete and we saw a rainbow. Lawrence

We used a spray bottle to make a rainbow and we put the water in the cup to make a rainbow. Trey

We got the DVD to put in the sun and that made a rainbow.

To make a rainbow we used
Water
Glass cups
DVD
Sun
Spray bottles

Some of these things worked better the others. Have a look at the photos to see if you can spot any rainbows!! They were quite hard to make!! We will have to do some more research!



We used cups. We tried holding the full glass in the sunlight and we tried tipping the Water to see which one worked best.








Maddison made white light on her hand.


John found it worked best when the sun was behind him.


Torian made lots of little rainbows using the back of a CD.
